Michael R. (Mike) McDonnell has served as a director of Baxter since February 2026.

McDonnell is a seasoned global finance executive with more than 25 years of experience as a public company chief financial officer (CFO), most recently serving from 2020 to 2025 as executive vice president and CFO of Biogen Inc., a global biotechnology company. Prior to Biogen, he was executive vice president and CFO of IQVIA Holdings Inc. (formerly Quintiles IMS), a global leader in advanced analytics, technology solutions and clinical research services for the life sciences industry.

Earlier in his career, McDonnell served as CFO of Intelsat S.A., MCG Capital Corporation and EchoStar Communications Corporation. He began his career at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP), where he spent more than a decade in audit and advisory roles, including four years as a partner. 

McDonnell currently serves on the board of directors of Merit Medical Systems, Inc. and previously served as a director of Catalyst Health Solutions, Inc.
