Precision Locating (PL) is a near real-time locating system (RTLS) that provides staff and asset visualization in the healthcare space.
With Precision Locating's Ultra-Wideband technology, you can locate care team members across your unit and track essential equipment like computers on wheels (COWs), beds, IV pumps, medication barcode scanners, and more, all with sub-meter level accuracy.
Features
Integration that Helps Support Safety and Efficiency
When integrated with Voalte Nurse Call and Baxter Smart Beds, the system helps support safety and workflow efficiency initiatives. Caregivers’ locations can be viewed via Nurse Call, pinpointing the origin of the alert. Additionally, when integrated with Voalte Patient Safety, bed exit alarms can be automatically silenced with caregiver presence, and reset when they leave the room.
Precision Locating provides the ability to locate multidisciplinary staff, providers, and clinicians, and it integrates seamlessly with Voalte Nurse Call to display staff locations on status boards and staff consoles.

Staff Tag
- Feature buttons can be configured for staff emergency calls, staff assistance and call cancellations when integrated with Voalte Nurse Call1
- 72-hour battery life with typical use, when fully charged
Equipment Tag
- Includes an anti-tamper feature
- Lasts up to seven years with typical use - no battery charging or replacement required
Ceiling Anchor
- Anchors utilize ultrawideband signals from staff tag to determine location
- Hardwired in ceiling and displaced throughout patient rooms and hallways for precise location
- Power over ethernet (PoE) to avoid battery replacements and maintenance
Charging Station
- Lasts up to 72 hours after a full charge
- Placed on a desk top or mounted to wall mount
- 20 tags per station
- Fully charge badges in approximately 4 hours
- Daisy chain up to three charging stations on a power supply
Software Based Locating Map and Local Monitor
- Search Screen: easily find staff and equipment through a search bar
- Local Monitor: staff assignments, tag monitoring, group tag management, and notification handling
Locating Hub
- Central gateway which powers Precision Locating anchors
